Delete your Storymood account
Storymood · package com.storymood.app
You can delete your Storymood account at any time. There are two ways, and they remove different things — please read both.
Option 1 — In the app
- Open Storymood
- Tap Profile in the bottom bar
- Open the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Settings
- Scroll to Account Management and tap Delete Account
- Confirm
This happens immediately and cannot be undone. If you signed in a long time ago, Google may ask you to sign in again first.
What Option 1 removes straight away
- Your sign-in account (you can no longer log in)
- Your profile: display name, profile photo, bio, followers and following
- Your saved posts
What Option 1 leaves behind
Posts, comments and replies you wrote stay published, along with the display name and photo attached to them at the time. Images you uploaded remain stored. Your username stays reserved and cannot be taken by anyone else.
If you want that content removed as well, use Option 2.
Option 2 — Full removal by email
Email storymood.support@gmail.com from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject “Delete my Storymood account”.
You do not need the app installed to do this. We will remove your account and all of the content listed below, and confirm by reply, within 30 days.
What Option 2 removes
- Everything in Option 1, plus:
- All posts you created
- All comments and replies you wrote
- All images you uploaded
- Your likes and follows
- Your username reservation, freeing the name for others
What we keep, and why
- Aggregated, anonymous statistics such as total post counts. These cannot identify you.
- Moderation records, where an account was suspended or content removed for breaking our rules. We keep these to protect the community and prevent ban evasion, for 12 months.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires.
Backups may hold copies for a short period before they expire.
